Happy Pa's Day!

Hey Dad,

Just wanted to wish you the most specialest of days. Thanks for being my dad and sacrificing to provide all of us with the life you did. We're so excited to get to see you soon and have you hold your grandkids. As we've been learning more about parenting and the concern/desire to raise righteous, healthy (emotionally, socially, spiritually, physically) children I am grateful for the foundation you laid for us. Because of your effort to have a family that could counsel together and talk about ways to become better I seek to find methods that will teach our kids how to think, reason, make choices, and understand consequences. We work to have open lines of communications and above all to have relationships of love and mutual respect. Thank you for your example.

Sads-
- It's hot
- Corbin's tummy is bugging him and that makes it difficult to do anything except hold him. Not that I don't enjoy that immensely, but dishes and laundry are piling up! At least there's a dishwasher to help out again (*see below)
- Because of the tummy trouble I'm trying an elimination diet starting with milk products. A Petersen with no milk! I'm dying.
- His jaundice and skin rash are still sticking around (poor boy!)
- Quintin's had to do a lot of studying this week (and the quarter ended last week!)

Happies-
-*I fixed our dishwasher all by myself! We were going to call a repair store, but I decided it wouldn't hurt to give it a go on my own. So far through research and experimentation I've figured out how to fix a car, a dryer, and a dishwasher. I'm a regular handy-woman!
- Summer brings LOTS of fresh veggies and fruits. I could eat watermelon all day. Hopefully we can get our garden started this week (I know it's late, but we might harvest something yet!).
- After Monday Quintin will be done with his test and we'll all get to have a little more time together.
- Quintin gets to start teaching his first class this week.
- We went to the zoo and I survived with two kids in tow!
- We get to see Mom and Dad twice this month!
- Vacuuming does calm a fussy baby so at least my ground level floors are clean.
- Todd's baby is out of the hospital
- And finally:
I have an amazing dad
My kids have an amazing dad

On a day like today... what more needs to be said?!

OK, I had to add Corbin gloating about making it through his first full day of church.
