Mt. Diablo

So, I went camping the other day and some friends took some pictures, so I thought I would share. This first one is of me and a friend on a little jont before breakfast.









This one is the view on top of Mt. Diablo (by Dansville, Ca if you know where that is) I think this is the view looking towards Sacramento, but if you look the other was you are looking at San Francisco bay.














This one is of our campsite.

Dad's new toy

As you can see Dad has a new toy. Oh, wait a minute.... it isn't a toy it is a gas saver. His plan is to ride the bus from the park and ride to Kaysville, and then ride the scooter to work from there. (about a mile and a 1/2)

It is battery operated so there is no gas consumption. Great idea don't you think!!!

We are trying hard to save where we can. We are trying to combine trips so as not to drive into town every day. Walking to school is a good option for me. Especially since I am needing to get a LOT of miles under these shoes of mine. Only one more week and Kim and I are doing the first big one. We will be walking from the airport to Tooele. About 16 miles of the 300 or so we want to do. One step at a time.
